Change Default Categories Applied to New Cookbooks

 

When you create a new cookbook (File… New Cookbook… ), NYC starts the cookbook with a default set of categories.  This set of categories is user-defineable, so if you want a different set of starting categories when you create a new cookbook, you can change the NYC defaults. 

 

To modify the default categories that NYC applies to new cookbooks:

 

  1. Select Tools… Data Management… Categories…
  2. Press the Edit… button in the “Defaults for New Cookbooks” frame.
  3. Select default categories to delete and add your own using the edit categories window.
  4. Press Save to keep your changes.
